Gordon Henry Winterbottom Sr.,  87 of West Chazy, NY, passed away at home on January 2, 2021, surrounded by his family.   Born September 30, 1933, in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of the late George R. and Helen M. (Marlin) Winterbottom.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 63 years Saundra (Seymour) who he married on February 9, 1957.   He is also survived by his sons, Gordon Jr, Gary (Patty) and Glen (Julie) Winterbottom all of West Chazy, NY.   His grandchildren Kenneth (Jennifer) Winterbottom of Greer, SC, Christopher Winterbottom, West Chazy, Elisa(Timothy)LaFave, Sarah(Eric) Bell and Olivia Winterbottom and her companion Donovan all of Plattsburgh, NY and Jessica Davis of Florida, and  8 great-grandchildren; Ethan, Alyssa, Zeno, Gunner, Callen, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Collin, Abby and Xander.

Gordon was also survived by his brother Roy(Lana) Winterbottom of Bradenton, FL, sisters Donna (Robert) Cross of Mineville, NY and Dorothy(Richard) LaBossiere of West Chazy, Brother-in-law Gerald (Diane) Seymour of Plattsburgh, Sister-in-laws Betty (Dana) Burl and Nancy Seymour of Plattsburgh along with several nieces and nephews.

Gordon was preceded in death by his brother Dale Winterbottom (2004) and a son Gregory Winterbottom in 2016.

Employed with Continental Grains - (Wayne Feeds) in the 1960's as a District salesman, Gordon won several awards and trips for the amount of feed sold in his district territory. Later he purchased Wayne Feeds in Chazy, combining it with his trucking business that he had starting in 1979 to become Winterbottom Trucking & Feeds. Upon considering retiring in 2000, he sold the feed portion of his business and dedicated himself to keep Winterbottom Trucking rolling which is still in operation today with 3 of his surviving sons and 1 grandson currently employed.

Due to Covid-19, the family will celebrate with a private Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
