PLATTSBURGH – Gregory Brushnefski, 62, of Bailey Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
He was born in Plattsburgh on November 18, 1959, son of Joseph and Beatrice (Badger) Brushnefski.
Gregory graduated from Chazy Central School and then went on to attend Clinton Community College. Gregg retired from Altona Correctional where he was a training officer.
Gregory enjoyed playing pool, watching NASCAR, worshiping the sun at the beach, and was a gun enthusiast. He enjoyed a good game of trivia and also liked to have conversations about politics.
Survivors include his three siblings, Sandra (Gregory) Duquette of Peru, Stephen (Lorraine) Brushnefski of New Port, NH, and Gary Brushnefski of Tampa, FL; his aunts, June Bedard of Plattsburgh and Francis Smith of Savanah, GA; and six nieces and four nephews, including his special nieces and nephews, Natasha (Chris) Cucinella of Saratoga Springs, Nadia Brushnefski of Tampa, FL, Mandy Brushnefski of Stamford, CT, and Bryce Brushnefski of Hancock, VT.
Gregory was predeceased by his parents and one sister and her husband, Susan and Ronald Cahoon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7 th at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.
Burial will take place in the spring in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Chazy.
