Merrill- Helen J. Martin 77, of State Route 374, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at home.

She was born in Plattsburgh on December 12, 1947 the daughter of Edward Alonzo Moore and Harriet Cecilia (Austin) Moore. She married Gary Earl Martin on June 26,1966. Helen ran Martins Bait and Tackle in Chateaugay Lake, in her spare time she enjoyed bingo and playing cards.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Sandy) Martin of Merrill, daughter Marnie Martin Merritt of NC; grandchildren Avery and Camden Martin, John Merritt Gracelynn Merritt and Helen Merritt; two great-grandchildren James Dean Merritt and Kentley Ryan Willoughby; sister Donna Lee Moore and husband Dennis Cudworth, Diana Lynn Payne; brothers Edward, Darwin Moore, Robert Moore; several nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by her parents, husband and sisters Edna McCusker, Katherine Moore, Marilyn Webber.

Services will be private at the request of the family.
