CHAZY LAKE, NY – Helen Messenger, 81, formerly of Wilfred King Road, passed away, Sunday, April 26, 2020.

She was born in Concord, NH on June 10, 1938, daughter of Kirk and Eleanor (Cross) Severance.

Helen married Raymond Messenger, Sr. on October 22, 1956 in Lempster, NH. Raymond passed away on March 2, 2004.

She retired as a Customer Service Representative from K-Mart after many years of service.

Helen enjoyed going to bingo and playing Nintendo games with her husband and family.

Survivors include her children, Nancy (Ronald) Strickland of Port Charolotte, FL, Carol Sheldon of Plattsburgh, Donna (Gary) Barnaby of Chazy Lake, Barbara (James) Corey of Altona, Sharon (Timothy) Barnaby of Chazy Lake, and Raymond Messenger, Jr. of Ellenburg Depot; one sister, Linda Lachapelle of Longmeadow, MA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by her husband and two brothers, Willard Severance and Carlton Severance.

Burial will take place in Granby Cemetery in Granby, CT.
