WEST CHAZY – Helen Scales, 92, of State Route 22, passed away, November 8, 2020.

She was born in Plattsburgh on February 23, 1928, daughter of Ross and Bessie (Brelia) Supernaw.

Helen married David Scales on December 11, 1981 in Chazy.

She enjoyed the outdoors and spending her time skiing, hiking, and gardening. Her favorite mountain was Giant, and climbed it many times.

Survivors include her husband David Scales; sons, Bernard (Louise) Labarge and Eric (Mel) Labarge; daughters, Roberta Labarge and Joanne (Ken) Lunsford; brother, Bert Supernaw; sister, Joanne (Larry) Lavalley; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by two sons, Paul and Michael; and daughter, Anna.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
