Horace J. Locklin, 97, of Willow Ln. Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born September 22, 1927 in Plattsburgh the son of Norman and Dorothy (Lavigne) Locklin.

Horace was a graduate of MAI and served the United States Air Force. He married Jane Ann Calkins on July 5, 1947 at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Jim was a respected residential and commercial contractor who built countless homes and businesses throughout the Plattsburgh area. He took great pride in his craft and left a lasting mark on the community through his work. Following his contracting career, he became an avid antique tool collector, finding joy in preserving the history of his trade. Horace belonged to the Plattsburgh Elks Club and the Midwest Tool Association.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Locklin; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Joel Sharrow; grandsons Kevin and his wife Jess Sharrow, Adam and his wife Elyssia Sharrow; great-grandchildren Logan, Carly, EJ; four nieces and two nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 9:00 am at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow in the Emmaus Room at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
