CHAMPLAIN, NY – Howard L. Premore, 85, of Route 9, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Plattsburgh on May 24, 1933 the son of Leo and Della (Favreau) Premore.

Howard served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was a member of the VFW in Champlain.

He married the former Hortense Ashline on September 10, 1955 at St. Mary's Church in Champlain.

Howard worked for Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh and retired after many years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Hortense Premore of Champlain; three daughters, Donna Supernaw of West Chazy, Sheila Bennet and husband Kim of Chazy and Lori-ann Premore of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Geraldine Buckley of West Chazy and Lorraine Crews of Hudson, FL; four grandchildren, Jeremy Supernaw, Tyler Supernaw, Darren Valdez and Joe Valdez and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law, Theodore Supernaw; and brother, Robert Premore.

There will be no public calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
