WATERTOWN – Irene M. St. Louis, 84, formerly of Chazy, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born in Champlain on May 4, 1937 the daughter of Girard and Corinne (Tetreault) LaFountain.

Irene married Richard St. Louis at Sacred Heart Church on September 30, 1961 by Rev. Clarence Devan. She worked at CVPH Medical Center for many years. Irene enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding the birds and traveling with her husband to many places including, Paris, London, Spain, Greece just to name a few, or traveling places in the states with the Senior Citizens Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl and Jim Foley, Tammy and Benjamin Cote; grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlyn Foley, Nicholas, Adam and Owen Cote; siblings, Eugene LaFountain, Andrew and Huguette LaFountain, Lewis LaFountain, Heidi LaFountain, Annie and Bryan Bechard; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
