Obituary

SARANAC---- Iris M. Stow, age 80, of Cringle Road, Saranac, NY passed away at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY on Thursday December 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born at home in Burke, NY on August 29, 1943 the daughter of Wilton and Frances (Lawrence) Eldridge. She attended Burke District # 11 and graduated from Franklin Academy in 1961. Later in life, at the age of 45, Iris enrolled in the Nursing Program at Clinton Community College, graduating in 1990. She was a Registered Nurse in the cardiac unit at CVPH retiring in 2007.

Iris loved life and lived it to its fullest. One of her greatest accomplishments was raising her three sons Troy, Mark, and Joel.

She is survived by her sons Troy Revette and his wife Kari of Burke; Mark Revette and his companion April Kasper of Plattsburgh; and Joel Revette and his wife Elizabeth of Saranac; five grandchildren: Eryn Marshall and her husband Duncan of Malone; Nathan Revette and his wife Reagan of Malone; Nicholas Revette and his wife Jessica of Rock Hill, NY; Ryan Revette and his wife Leyla of Cadyville; and Darren Revette of Cadyville; a sister,

Lois Marshall and her husband Carl of Skerry; a brother Stanley Eldridge and his wife Irene of North Bangor; nieces and nephews Darrin Eldridge (Laurie) of North Bangor; Dean Eldridge (Kitty) of North Bangor; Matthew Eldridge of North Bangor; Carter Eldridge (Heather) of North Lawrence; Cassie Williams (Ken) of Elizabeth, PA; Adam Livernois (Camy) of Brushton and Kerry Warner of Burke.

She was predeceased by her parents Wilton & Frances Eldridge, and a brother Garth Eldridge.

Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, and reading. She loved nature and cared deeply for animals, having adopted many dogs, especially Sassy Sue and cats, lastly July, Fannie and Fawn over the years.

She enjoyed travel, including Italy, Arizona, and the beaches of Maine and Florida.

She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She spent her entire life taking care of others. Her 3 sons, her grandchildren, her family, especially her mother, friends, companions, her nursing patients and all who needed her loving care. She will be forever remembered to all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dannemora from 11:00 am to 12:00 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at a later date in the family lot at St. George's Cemetery in Burke.
