Plattsburgh— Isabelle E. Mashtare, 96, formerly of Peru, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Chazy on April 12, 1924, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (LaFountaine) Wilford.

Isabelle married Homer Mashtare in Plattsburgh in 1942. She was a Home Care provider in private homes for many years.

Isabelle was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Peru and belonged to the Tri Chem Liquid Embroidery Association and the Mae Currier Senior Citizens group.

Survivors include her children, John and Bernadette Mashtare of Morrisonville, Steven and Colleen Mashtare of Ausable Forks, Joan Pepin of New Jersey, Sharron and David Perry of Morrisonville; sister, Betty Martino of Beekmantown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, parents, and sons, Brian Mashtare. and Allan Mashtare; brother Randall Brown; sister and brothers-in-law, Rena and Harold Adams, and Lloyd Martino and a son-in-law, Roger Pepin.

Calling hours will be held Friday August 14 ^th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church in Peru. Entombment will follow at Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Rd., Plattsburgh.

Due to Covid-19 face coverings and social distancing will be required for all services.
