Jim was born in Plattsburgh, New York, on May 17, 1938. On April 24, 1957, Jim embarked on a lifelong journey of love and devotion as he joined hands with his soulmate. His profound love for his wife remained a cornerstone of his life, and their bond was a testament to true love. Even in his final moments, it was clear that he longed to be reunited with her. Jim was a hardworking man, devoting 43 years of his life to his career as an electrician at Georgia Pacific. He was not only known for his skill in his trade but also for his passion for service to his community, which extended to his role as a scuba diver for the Clinton County Sheriffs Diving Team. His adventurous spirit was matched by his life of the outdoors; he enjoyed camping, traveling, riding motorcycles and snow mobiles.
Jim was a man of many talents and interests, but above all, he was known for his kindness, humor, and love for his family. His love for animals and his gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Christmas was particularly special to Jim, as he created enchanted Holiday memories with his family by dazzling the town with many wonderful Christmas light displays; winning numerous community awards. His grandchildren fondly remember the joy of him playing Santa Claus, hanging lights, sipping hot chocolate, and sledding down the backyard hill during the holiday seasons.
Jim's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, but they take comfort in knowing that he is at peace, reunited with Genny in a place filled with love and light. In honoring Jim's life, his family encourages all who knew him to live in the light and carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and faith.
