CANANDAIGUA"James W. Kelley, 78, formerly of Ausable Forks, passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born on December 6, 1932 in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. James retired from the U.S. Air Force, after 25 years of service, as a Master Sergeant. He was very active in the Masonic and the Benevolent order of the Elks, organizations, having attained the status of DDGM in the Masons and PER in Elks. Survivors include his children, James R. and Barbara Kelley of Odessa Fl., Carolyn and Gordon Miller of Peoria, AZ, Thomas and Gina Bond Kelley of Peru, NY and Donald and Michele Kelley of Loveland, OH; sisters, Janet and Richard Rossborough, Rita and Lou Matter, Polly and Goodie Goodwin, Betty Lou Burns and June and Michael Napolitan; brothers, George and Hazel Kelley, Allen and Deborah Kelley, Howard and Vicki Kelley, Louis and Beverly, Gene and Bobbi Kelley, Richard Kelley and Lawrence Kelley; 9 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His parents, Earl and Louise Kelley, his wife, Patricia Kelley, a sister, Patricia and a brother, Roger, predeceased James. Calling hours will be held Thursday April 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh. The Elks will have a wake service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Mason service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday April 29th at 11:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Plattsburgh, where the American Legion Post #20 will provide full military honors.
