July 13, 1937 – December 13, 2022
MORRISONVILLE- Jane E. Defayette, 85, of the Trim Rd., passed away into heaven on December 13,2022 in her home with loved ones. Jane's family would like to thank Hospice of the North Country special thanks to Katie her nurse for compassion and care showed to her. Special thanks to friends and family that shared in the joy and sorrow in Jane's life for she cherished every moment she spent with each individual.
Jane will be remembered for her compassion and caring heart she had for others. In her younger years she was a foster mom along with raising 5 of her own children. She did home care for the elderly and child care taking care of little ones until they reached teenage years. Jane loved to sew and knit for all her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading a good mystery. Last but not least we all enjoyed her love of cooking and baking. A few of our favorites were her baking powered biscuits, orange drop cookies and apple pie.
Jane was a very honest and strong-willed person. If you asked her a question, she would certainly give you an honest answer.
Jane will be remembered by her children; Julie Duprey, Laurie Taylor, Sidney Defayette and Nathan Defayette, sons-in-law Matthew Rasco , Lawrance Duprey and Lee Taylor; her grandchildren Alicia, Brent, Amanda, Carrie, Grant, Cassandra, Austin, Timothy and their partners; great-grandchildren Noah, Ryan, Katherine, Joseph, Alexis, Wyatt, Alena, Hayden, Allyson, Jackson, Alexander and Natalie; siblings Roy Bradley, Samuel Bradley, Sandra Griffin, Sarah Bradley and Flora ( Pug) Bradley and Cheryl Bradley; as well as many nieces, nephews and special friend Mona.
Jane will be received with joy in heaven by her beloved husband Norman Defayette both parents Mary and Noris Bradley, daughter Sharlene Rasco, and her siblings Noris, Gordan, Miles, and John all of whom she loved dearly.
Jane will rest with love and peace.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to any organization of your choice.
