BEEKMANTOWN – Janice A. Reyell, 84, of Jersey Swamp Rd., passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in West Chazy on October 20, 1939 the daughter of Alexander and Ione (Brown) Barcomb.

Janice married Richard Reyell on October 11, 1958 at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Richard Reyell of West Chazy; sons Jerry Reyell of Plattsburgh, Michael (Dawn) Reyell of Beekmantown, Darrell (Sarah) of Altona; daughters Patricia (Stephen) MacMannis of Chazy, Arleen Reyell husband, David Unverhau of Niskayuna; grandchildren Erika Kane (Keith), Craig Reyell, Dylan Reyell, Keegan Reyell, Kaitlyn MacMannis, Benjamin(Jessica) Unverhau; great-grandchildren; Kasey, Kennedy and Kerrigan Kane, Addlyn Unverhau. brothers Gary (Giesla) Barcomb, Armand (Kathy) Barcomb, Jeffrey (Cassie) Barcomb; sister Marlene (Howard) McCormick, sister-in-law, Carol Barcomb; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother Jerry Barcomb, sister Carolyn Cordero, brother Steven Barcomb, daughter-in-law, Gwen Reyell and grandson Joshua Unverhau.

Janice's greatest joy in life was being a proud farmer's wife, loving mother and grandmother and loyal friend. She always liked to strike up a conversation with a stranger who she quickly embraced as a friend. She is missed already.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 20th from 10:00 to 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am.
