Jennifer Mary
Bowman
October 22, 1980 – September 22, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jennifer Mary Bowman, 44, of Chazy, NY, who left us too soon but will forever remain in our hearts. Born on October 22, 1980, in Plattsburgh, NY, Jenn was the youngest of seven children. She was a graduate of Chazy Central Rural School and SUNY Plattsburgh. After college, Jenn's journey led her down many different roads, notably her years at Rue 21, Welcare, Best Friends Diner, and as an independent self-direction broker. Those who met Jenn along her journey will remember her kind heart, her sharp wit, and a love for laughter that drew people to her.
Jenn was a devoted mother to her two sons, Isaac and Ethan, and was their greatest supporter. She was the epitome of a loving and selfless mom, always there with encouragement, wisdom, and endless love. Her commitment to her children and her family was unmatched, and her spirit will continue to guide them through their lives.
Jenn bravely fought a long battle with colon cancer. Throughout her 13-year journey, she remained optimistic and full of life, meeting each new challenge with determination and a smile. Although her cancer spread in the last few years, Jenn faced the final chapter with the same courage and grace she showed throughout her life. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.
In addition to her children Isaac and Ethan, she is survived by her mother, Dianna Winters; her brothers, Jeff Winters and Chris Winters (Deanna Winters); her sisters, Sandy Greenier (Kris Greenier), Sharon Bushey, and Lisa Winters (Brian Mitchell); her best friend, Angela Bernard; and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She was predeceased by her father, John Winters, Sr., her brother, John Winters, Jr., and her brothers-in-law, Shawn Bushey and Bob Kimball.
One of Jenn's most beautiful qualities was her heart. She had a way of making everyone feel loved and valued. Whether she was spending time with her family, her gym family, her diner family, or her Welcare family, Jenn's kindness and generosity were felt by all. Jenn's brokerage clients, in particular, experienced her compassion throughout her most recent hospital stays. She remained dedicated to providing quality care for them even in her dwindling days.
Jenn also had a special place in her heart for all animals–from her beloved dog Roxy and her cats River, Amber, and Peter to all other animals she wished she could adopt. Her compassion for animals was just one more way her beautiful spirit shone.
Jennifer's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered for her devotion to her sons, her love for her family, and her endless compassion for all those she cared about.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
