BEEKMANTOWN - Jerry Reid Ero, 72, of Beekmantown, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023.

Jerry was born on February 19, 1950 to Rolla & Alice (Blair) Ero.  Over the years, Jerry also lived in Schuyler Falls, Peasleeville and Peru.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, riding his four-wheeler, and spending time at his camp in West Chazy.  He loved to visit with family and everyone he met in his daily adventures.

Jerry attended Peru Central School District. Jerry proudly served in the Armed Forces as a U.S. Navy Seabee.  Jerry's employment over the years included Pyrofax Gas, Petrolane, Suburban Propane, Bezio's Fuels, Northern Orchard, and Bull's RV Center.

Jerry is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Sherri (Ero) & Lloyd Provost Jr, brothers & sisters-in-law Carl Ero, Arden Ero, and Dennis (Betsy) Ero, Christine Ero, and Donna Ero, and sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy (Bob) Sorrell, Linda Ero, Carol (Randal(Cowboy)) Staley, and Jeanne Staley.   He is also survived by special friend Rosemary Boire.  Jerry held a special place in his heart for his feline friend, Lucky Lady, also.

He was predeceased by his parents;  former wife Mary LeClair;  brothers Stanley (Beverly) Ero, Roy Ero, and Donald Ero, and sisters Dorothy (Clarence) Lester, Lillian (John) Vaughn, and Mary (Herbie) Aubin.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 10 ^th at 4:00 PM at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, NY.  A reception for family and friends will follow in the Church Hall.

Donations may be made to Peru's Elmore SPCA, Plattsburgh's North Country Honor Flight, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
