WEST CHAZY— Joan A. LaMare, 73, of Cider Mill Road, passed away on September 27, 2020 at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on November 7, 1946 the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Agnew) Kargoe.

Joan married Leon J. LaMare on July 15, 1967 at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.

Survivors include her husband, Leon LaMare of West Chazy; sons, Joseph LaMare and his companion, Jen Fortin of West Chazy and Michael LaMare and his wife, Kim of West Chazy; daughter, Lynn Bubbins and her husband, Charles, of Riparius, NY; mother, Elizabeth A. Carter of Plattsburgh; brothers, John Kargoe and his wife, Gail of Cairo, NY, Thomas Kargoe of Aylett, Virginia and Charles Kargoe of Beekmantown; sisters, Gena Blow of Ellenburg, Tania Kargoe of Plattsburgh, Dora Thompson of Plattsburgh and Marie MacKenzie and her husband, Leonard of Redford; grandchildren, Alysson (Bubbins) Craig and her husband Matthew, David Bubbins, Jacob LaMare, Wyatt LaMare, Katelynn Bowen and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, William Kargoe.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 4 to 6 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home with funeral to follow in the funeral home Chapel.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
