PLATTSBURGH – John Chauvin, 79, of Patriot Drive, passed away, December 4, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Plattsburgh on May 24, 1940, the son of Louis and Eleanor (Relation) Chauvin.

John worked for several years as a technician retiring from the Chrysler Corporation in Syracuse.

He was a man of faith and a devout Christian.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Chauvin of Plattsburgh; children, Christina Chauvin of Plattsburgh, Ron J. Chauvin and his companion Crystal Jaquish of Plattsburgh, Mark Chauvin and his wife Suzanne of Chazy, and Rob Chauvin and his wife Deonna of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Louis Chauvin and his wife Shirley and Howard Chauvin; eleven grandchildren, Jessica (Cassius) Baker, Taylor Jaquish, Sean Chauvin, Cameron Chauvin, Tanner Chauvin, Stephanie Chauvin, Jacob Chauvin, Caleb Chauvin, Riley Chauvin, Brittney Ryan, and Tanner Smith; great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Alex, Elliot, Gloria, Judith, Jocelynne, Jayden, Hayleigh, and Payton; and many nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by two brothers, David Chauvin and Brian Chauvin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8 ^th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, followed by a service at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
