CADYVILLE- John F. St. Germain, 84, of Route 3 passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on October 5, 1938 the son of George and Louise (Arnold) St. Germain.

John was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He married the former Mary Ann Beauharnois at St. James Church in Cadyville on October 17, 1959, she passed away May 27, 2018.

John owned and operated St. Germain's Home Improvement. He was a member of the Town of Plattsburgh Republican Party. John was a Board member at Saranac Central School, Councilman for the Town of Plattsburgh. In his spare time John enjoyed a round or two of golf.

Survivors include his children, son Joel St. Germain and Patty LaVarnway; daughter Johnnel and Reese Nakamura; 4 grandchildren Amy and Andrew Nakamura, Travis and Jason LaVarnway; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings James St. Germain, George St. Germain, Mary Welhouse, Kathleen Williams, Patricia St. Germain; several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his parents, wife, siblings Robert, Richard and Bernard St. Germain.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral will follow at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be held Thursday, June 29th at 10:30 in St. James Cemetery in Cadyville
