CUMBERLAND HEAD-----Joyce M. Turner, 77, of Windswept Acres, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday July 24, 2015 at UVHN, CVPH Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plattsburgh on January 19, 1938, the daughter of Roma and Dorothy (Bordeau) Castine Sr. Joyce married Mark Turner on August 17, 1957 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. She worked at New York Telephone Company for many years and raised her family. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling to many different casinos, playing cards at the American Legion Post #20 with her friends. She also loved watching her children and grandchildren play many different sports especially following the Beekmantown Eagles ice hockey team for the past 4 years. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Mark Turner of Cumberland Head; children, Cheryl and David Constanty of Cumberland Head, Mark and Judy Turner of West Chazy, Tracey Turner of Newport VT; grandchildren, Heather and Jamie Gadway, Hannah Constanty and Kyle Constanty, Lindsey Turner and her fiancé Michael Cook, Trevor and Alayna Turner both serving in the USCG, Karley Turner; Great-grandchildren, Lukas and Haley Gadway; Godson, Donald Turner; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Deborah Lynn Turner, a brother Roma Castine, Jr., and by her loving dog Dolly. Calling Hours will be held Monday July 27, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.
