Karen M. Rabideau, 77, of Lafayette Street, Plattsburgh, passed away on March 2, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Plattsburgh on July 1, 1947 the daughter of Vernon and Kathryn (Brault) Macy.

Karen attended D'Youville Academy High School graduating in 1965.

She married Gary Rabideau on August 5, 1967 in Yuma, AZ. while stationed at the Marine base during that time.

Karen was employed as a school nurse at Oak Street School in Plattsburgh until she retired from CVES as a special education aide.

She enjoyed doing crafts and knitting and spent many summers at her camp in TwinElls campground until Gary's passing in 2020.

Survivors include her son, Stephan Rabideau of Plattsburgh; her daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Chamberlain of Peru; sisters, Sandra Rasco of Milton, VT, Kathy (Ray) Flanders of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Casey (Michelle) Chamberlain, Corey (Stephanie) Chamberlain, CeganChamberlain, Nicholas Rabideau and Colin Yost; as well as four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

There will be no public funeral services.
