Obituary

PLATTSBURGH – Kathleen R. Babineaux, 60, of Tom Miller Rd., passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh due to complications from Covid, with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Plattsburgh on May 20, 1962 the daughter of James and Linda "Ann" (Cameron) Morgan.

Kathy was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School. She was an Office Assistant in Personnel and retired as an Office Assistant Supervisor in Medical Records at Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus NY.

Survivors include her father, James (Faye) Morgan; former husband, Remy L. Babineaux; sisters Sheryl Morgan, Karen (Mark) Bailey; brother James Morgan; sister-in-law Judy Morgan; daughter-in-law Sarah Babineaux; grandchildren Kielee, Bryce, Peyton; Nieces and Nephews, Zack Morgan, Alicia (David) Ayers, Ethan (Meghan) Morgan, Joshua Bailey, Michaela (Ronnie) White, and Stephanie (Chris Matthews) Morgan; Great Nieces and Nephew Desmond Matthews, Isabella Ayers, Elizabeth Matthews and soon to arrive Oakleigh Remi Morgan; many aunts, uncles and cousins; close friends Terry Leubner, Debi and Tom Pike and Lee DeBenedetto.

Kathleen was predeceased by her son Remy J Babineaux, mother Linda "Ann" Morgan, and brother Steven Morgan.

Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, going to Fairs, Demolition Derby's, cooking, camping, coloring, country music, going to concerts, traveling, doing crafts and going to Mark 209 concerts multiple times a year.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Long Lake, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the form of a check may be made to Anthony Bleyer MD Inherited Kidney Disease Research Fund, c/o Section on Nephrology, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Medical Center Blvd., Winston Salem, NC 27157.  Kathy's hope would be to find a treatment to eradicate this disease from her family for future generations to come. Your donation will further the current research that is close to finding a treatment to prevent the progression of the kidney disease that runs in her family.
