WEST CHAZY – Kathleen (Kathy) Fredette, 70, of West Chazy, passed May 23, 2021, at UVM Medical Center.

She was born on June 16, 1950, to Theresa (Recore) Armstrong in Malone, NY.

Kathy attended SUNY Plattsburgh and received a bachelor's in education

She married the love of her life James Fredette on August 26, 1972, and they had two daughters.

Kathy was a dedicated teacher for many years, first at Our Lady of Grace Elementary School and later at Clinton Correctional Facility, retiring after 30 years.

She rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune and could often solve the puzzles before the first spin.  And she never met a Hallmark Christmas movie she didn't like.  She loved collecting turtles, taking trips to the casino and writing poems for family birthdays and celebrations that are loved by all those honored enough to be gifted with them.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jim, daughters Connie and Sheri, son (in-law) Lee, grandsons Christopher and Alexander, her fur daughter, Pippy, her sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 28 ^th from 5-6pm with funeral service following at 6pm at R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh for family and close friends.
