PLATTSBURGH – Kelsey Lea Sebert, 31, of Dennis Avenue, passed away, May 9, 2024.
She was born on November 14, 1992, daughter of Kevin and Penny (Abare) Matott.
Kelsey graduated from PHS as a member of the Class of 2010. She later went on to graduate from the Clinton Community College RN Nursing program in 2021.
Kelsey worked at the CVPH Medical Center and most recently worked as the Agency RN with the ARC.
She married Kyle Sebert on August 22, 2022 at Smuggler's Notch in Vermont. Together, they enjoyed taking numerous road trips, finding new places to eat breakfast and kayaking. Most of all, Kelsey was happiest being with her family and her fur babies. Snuggling on the couch with her children, Jackson and Clara, was her favorite thing to do.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Kyle Sebert; her children, Jackson Barnard and Clara Barnard; parents, Kevin and Penny Matott; paternal grandmother, Veronica Matott; maternal grandmother, Betty Carlo; mother-in-law, Lisa Courtney; Grandmother-in-law; Patrica Courtney; brother-in-law, David Sebert; aunts and uncles, Kelly (Brian) Courtney, Mike (Kathleen) Sellnow, Keith (Lori) Matott, Kendall (Morgan) Matott, Patti (Tim) Trombley, Michelle Abare(Craig Lapierre), and Susan Howe(James Wilcox); and several cousins, including one that was like a sister to her, Katelin (Zachary) LaDuke as well as Brandon (Kayla) Matott, Kaylee Matott, Troy (Taylor) Trombley, Ashleigh Downey, Cole Trombley, and Charlotte Trombley and Steve Mabe
Kelsey was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Clifford Matott and maternal grandfather, Howard Abare, aunt Lisa Matott (Primard) and cousin Jaime Benware.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, followed Nursing Honor Guard Tribute at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
