SARANAC – We are sad to announce the death of Kenneth Leigh White of Saranac, NY. Ken passed away peacefully at the age of 74, on September 21 ^st , 2022, surrounded by his family. He ultimately lost his battle to cancer, having fought it for almost 20 years, though it did not slow him down until the very end.

Ken was born on May 14 ^th , 1948 to Raymond and Dorothy White and lived a loyal and dutiful life to his family, his land, and to his country, having served in the Navy.

He is survived by his brothers Keith White and Mark White, son Gabriel White, daughter Katherine White, stepdaughters Susan St Louis and Melanie Sherman, and his beautiful grandchildren.

His passions led him to lifelong careers as a farmer and aircraft mechanic. His admiration for each craft, coupled with his impeccable work ethic, earned him valuable roles, accreditation, and respect within each industry.

Ken was always an active contributor to his community, volunteering time through his church, the Town cemetery, and to his neighbors. He had a calm and peaceful personality, but his actions spoke loudly as they were always driven by kindness and servitude. Time spent in his presence was always accommodating and warm, and he will be greatly missed.

Family will receive guests at the Saranac United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 25 ^th beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will take place on Monday, September 26 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in the Saranac Independence Cemetery.
