PLATTSBURGH – Lane G. Putnam, 70, of Margaret Street, passed away, December 5, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Plattsburgh on January 6, 1951, son of Gerald and Mollie (Long) Putnam.

Lane was an avid reader and enjoyed building his knowledge of various subjects by reading many different magazines.  He also enjoyed listening to music, had a great interest in sports cars, and was a cat lover at heart.

Survivors include his daughter, Chantel Mylynn of Saratoga, NY;  his son, Joshua Putnam and his wife Michelle of Webster, NY;  sisters, Lana Putnam of Plattsburgh, NY and Lynn Miller and her husband Todd of Plattsburgh;  grandchildren, Cameron Putnam of Plattsburgh, NY and Cora Putnam of Webster, NY;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lane was predeceased by his parents;  and two infant children, Jeremy Putnam and Erica Putnam.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place in the family plot in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point, NY.
