PLATTSBURGH – Lawrence "Larry" Blossom, 92, of Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 13, 1926, the son of Roland and Gillian (Morris) Blossom.

Larry graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1948.

He served in the United States Navy for three years.

Larry was employed by Montgomery Ward for 35 years and retired as the manager of the distribution center in Albany. In retirement, he also worked as the Head of Maintenance at Memory's Garden in Colonie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rieta Blossom of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Sharon Blossom and her loving partner of 24 years, Robert Smith of Cohoes; his feline companions, Lucky and Blossom; and numerous friends.

Larry was predeceased by his parents and brother, Roland F. Blossom.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
