PLATTSBURGH - On the 25th of September 2019, Leita peacefully walked into the loving arms of her Lord.

She retired from the Clinton County Health Department as a Home Health Aid. Leita had also coached town girl's softball, loved animals and enjoyed creating beautiful crafts.

She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Richard) Zwirblis of Long Island, Jane (William) Bushey of North Carolina, Shirley (Mack) Minshew of Texas and son, Gordon David Pratt of West Chazy; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anna (Stone) Hughes and Gordon Hughes; husband, Garnet Pratt; a son, Richard Pratt; sisters, Grace Harriman, Barbara Pagliaro and Mary Jane Nelson along with brothers, Harry Hughes, Charles Hughes and Ted Hughes.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Mooers Forks, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to an Animal Rescue of choice or to the West Chazy Community Church.
