Obituary

Lenora B. Witt, 81, of Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born the daughter of Moses and Nora (Kipp) Facteau.

Lenora was predeceased by her true love and soulmate Thomas L. Witt Sr., on December 31, 2010. They were married for 50 years and both worked hard for their family. Lenora worked at the Vilas Home for many years until she retired.  She belonged to the Rosary Society and was a faithful member of St. Peter's Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, she truly had a heart of gold.

Lenora is one of five sisters.

She is predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-law, Grace and Larry Crowley, and Cecelia Revis; daughter-in-law Sharron Witt; great-granddaughter Autumn VanWeort.

Surviving sisters are Marilyn Facteau of Plattsburgh and Veronica Thomas of Ohio.

Also surviving are her loving children, Scott (Donna) Witt of Schuyler Falls, Daniel Witt of Plattsburgh, Tammy Witt of Plattsburgh, Tina Ross, Michelle Ryan and companion Stephen Baker of Plattsburgh, Melissa Witt and best friends Tammy Terry and Rhonda Daniels of Peru, Thomas (Ann) Witt II of Ellenburg; grandchildren, Crystal Grace and fiancé Delante Robinson, Kara Witt, Andrew Witt, Mary Anne Witt, Tabitha (Kenny) Hendrie, Slyvia Witt, Kayla (Joshua) VanWeort, Brandon (Julie) Cobb, Nora Ross, Brady Terry, Avery Terry, Savanna Boula, Nora Witt, William (McKenna) Ryan, Charles Ryan, Kaitlyn Witt, Dylan Witt, Kane Cayea, Grace Cayea; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Gonzalez, Nicholas Rock, America, Damian, Xavi and Callun Cobb, Gage, Natalie, Christian and Amelia Hendrie, Bralynn Witt, Amberlynn Hutchins, Conner Hendrie, Konnor Witt, Nathan Witt, Octavia Vandee, Ryker Wells, Catiana Wells, Hunter VanWeort, Mckenna Hendrie, Alice Nantasang, Eloise Margaret, Rylan and Hazel.

Our family would like to give a special thank you to her nurses Mika and Erin for the wonderful care given to our mom, and to Dr. Amblers Staff, an extra thank you to Crystal Palmer for her dedication and devotion that she gave to our beautiful mom.

Also left to cherish Lenora was her beloved cat, Molly.

Lenora B. Witt a woman to be cherished and always remembered.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter Church in Plattsburgh. A reception will be immediately after services to continue to celebrate Lenora's life in the Church Hall.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
