Obituary

(Lillian) Carole Beazley Dalphin, 77, passed away March 16, 2019, at her home in Whippleville, NY.  Born in St. Louis, Missouri, November 20, 1941, Carole was the daughter of Charles G. and Mollie O. Bryan Beazley.  Carole's husband of 52 years, John F., and a son, William, were with her at her death.

As a daughter of a father in the military, Carole was brought up and attended schools in numerous locations around the world: St. Louis MO, Frankfurt Germany, Tokyo Japan, San Francisco CA, Arlington VA and Lawrence IN where she graduated from Lawrence Central High School. She received a baccalaureate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Carole worked at the U S Army Finance Center as a computer programmer and later received certification as an elementary school teacher. While raising their family, Carole with John lived in Indianapolis IN, Parishville NY, Fort Wayne IN, Northfield VT, Forest Hill MD, and Richmond IN.

Carole has two daughters: Julia Carole Dalphin of Portland ME and Edith Anne Dalphin Horton (husband Christopher) of Knockando, Scotland; and step-daughter: Roberta Jean Hefferman (husband Nathaniel) of Lexington MA. There are three sons: John Charles Dalphin (wife Stephanie) of Bloomington IN, William Gordon Dalphin (wife Melissa) of Haverhill MA, and George Richard Dalphin (wife Anne) of Portland ME.

Grandsons include: Kieran Deckard and Duncan Martin Hanrahan (children of Julia); Liam and Owen Hefferman. Granddaughters are: Katherine Rose and Elizabeth Alexandra Dalphin (children of William); Ceilidh Madeleine Dalphin (child of John C.); Rhiannon Alice Horton.

Carole has two sisters: Anne Turner who predeceased her; Jeanne Gardiner Hunter of Corpus Christi TX.

Carole enjoyed reading, gardening, games, and learning to knit. She was a member of the Mountain View Association, the Ladies of the Lake, Franklin County Museum and Historical Society, Unity Church of Corpus Christi TX, and supported numerous agencies such as Town of Bellmont Food Pantry, ACLU, Amnesty International, Doctors without Borders, and Habitat for Humanity.

As Carole wishes, there will be no funeral service. Those wishing to recognize her may consider donations to any of the agencies to which she belonged or which she supported or to Hospice of the North Country.

A celebration of Carole's life, to be held the summer of 2019 in Mountain View NY, will be scheduled and planned by the family.
