PLATTSBURGH – Linda L. Stuart, 77, of Cumberland Head, died Friday December 22, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda was born in Malone, NY, November 22, 1946, daughter of Fred LaRocque Sr. And Florence Miller.

Linda married the love of her life, Thomas G. Stuart of Malone, when she was 19 years old. Linda and Tom shared 57 beautiful years of marriage together, traveling, raising their children and creating a life full of love and happiness with their friends and family. Traveling was a favorite of Linda and Tom's as they had the opportunities to visit Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Holland. Germany, where they spent their honeymoon, was a favorite place of Linda's to share her memories. Linda was a waitress for 32 years: 24 years at IHOP and 8 years at Lums, where she met many lifelong friends.

One of Linda's favorite family activities was camping. Linda and Tom, along with their family, spent 53 years summering at Meacham Campground. Linda enjoyed her coffee while visiting with friends and family, going to the casino, playing pitch, and bowling.

Linda shared so much love and laughter with everyone she met and will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Florence, sisters Marjorie (Robert) Andrews, Gertrude Jean Peets and Carolyn O'Donnell, brothers Fred Jr. (Erla), Larry (Donna) and Carl.

Linda is survived by her husband Thomas Sr., sons Thomas Jr. and Jamie and wife Katherine, daughter Dawn, grandsons Adam and fiance Jordan, Josh and wife Meghan, and Brett and wife Chelsea, granddaughter Chloe and husband Darius, great-grandsons Kamden and Kobe, brother-in-law Larry Peets, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 27th from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, with funeral services immediately following in the funeral home chapel.

All family and friends are invited to join us at the American Legion Post 20 on the Quarry Road immediately following services.
