SARANAC – Loretta M. Boyd, 96, formerly of Picketts Corners Road, passed away, February 11, 2023.

She was born in Chazy Lake on May 25, 1926, daughter of Elmer and Evelyn (Varin) Dubrey.

Loretta loved to spend time with her family.  Whether playing cards or spending time going to their lot on Chazy Lake, Loretta enjoyed her life and the memories she made with them.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Georgette) Couture;  daughter, Eva (Hugh) Drollette;  sister, Vina Gonzales;  grandchildren, Hugh and Suzanne Drollette, Mike (Barb) Drollette, Rick Couture, and Ron (Kim) Couture;  nine great-grandchildren;  four great-great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.

Loretta was predeceased by her husbands, Richard Couture and George Boyd;  sisters, Leona Rebideau and Lucy Lagoy;  brothers, Elmer, Sherman, Gordon, Melvin and Bill Dubrey;  and granddaughter, Tonya Couture.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.

Burial will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery.
