ROUSES POINT – Marguerite D. McCabe, 98, of Chapman St., Rouses Point, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Mooers Forks on November 9, 1923 the daughter of Henry and Electa (Corkins) Davison, Sr. She was a graduate of Mooers Central High School.

Marguerite married Bernard J. McCabe in Mooers on January 13, 1946; he passed away February 12, 1979. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Rouses Point and the Fellowship Club in Mooers.

Marguerite worked in Quality Control at Wyeth Ayerst in Rouses Point for 23 years, retiring in December of 1984.

Survivors include her sons, Patrick and Kay McCabe of Waterbury, VT, Richard McCabe of Champlain, NY; grandchildren Adam McCabe, Rebecca and Aaron Dupree; great-grandchildren Alexander McCabe, Hazel McCabe, Benjamin Dupree, Trenton Dupree, Alice Dupree; several nieces and nephews, a special niece Patty Duteau who visited her frequently; a special friend, Faith Lamberton, who was of great comfort and assistance in her later years at home and her close friends, Gloria and Adrian Fitts and their family.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, siblings Clarence Davison, Winnie Hickok and Henry Davison Jr.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1:30pm in Union Cemetery in Mooers Forks.
