BURKE----Mary Louise Bruce, 76 of the Cook Rd., passed away with her family at her side at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh on June 1, 2023. Was born in Plattsburgh May 6, 1947, the daughter of David and Dorothy (Dougherty) Bruce.
MaryLou Lived in Burke, and was a teacher at Davis Elementary School in Malone until her retirement.
During her retirement years she enjoyed spending her time working in her flower gardens and vegetable gardens and keeping her lawn and property looking beautiful.
She enjoyed her horse, feeding her birds and lovingly caring for her cats and dogs she truly enjoyed nature and life.
MaryLou is survived by her brothers, Chuck (Debbie) Bruce of Saranac Lake, and Michael (Stephanie) Bruce of Florida; many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Also, her devoted friend Peggy Riggs.
MaryLou was predeceased by her brother Roger Bruce from West Chazy.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at the Altona Town Protestant Cemetery in Altona.
