West Chazy– Mary E. Clar, 67, of the O'Neil Rd., West Chazy, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on March 15, 1956 the daughter of Otis and Elizabeth (Cobb) Fountain.

Mary worked in retail for many years which she enjoyed because in her free time she loved to shop and look for a bargain. When she was younger she traveled to England and parts of Europe. She loved animals especially cats. Mary enjoyed being with her family and friends, sitting around a bonfire sharing stories.

Survivors include her brothers Derrick (Donna) Fountain, Colin (Susan) Fountain; several nieces and nephews Tracey Fountain (Daniel Roesser), Suzanne Deyoe, Lita Fountain, Jonathan Fountain, Laura (David) Machell, Thomas (Ella) Fountain, and grand nieces and nephews Jade Fountain-Roesser, Caleb Deyoe, Jeffrey Fountain, Scarlet and Hunter Machell and Liam Fountain.

Mary was predeceased by her parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:15am at the R.W. Walker Funeral in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.

Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
