PLATTSBURGH – Myrtle Agnes Gadway Packard, 97, formerly of Plattsburgh passed away February 12, 2019 in San Marcos, TX.

She was born April 9, 1921 in Saranac, New York to Florence (Tallman) and Edward Gadway.

Myrtle married Lawrence Elliot Packard on May 24, 1942 in the Atlantic Union College chapel in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Lawrence passed away on November 5, 2004.

Myrtle enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting, and most of all, telling stories to make people laugh. She was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her children, Lawrence Eric "Ricky" Packard and his wife Joyce, Lauren Erin Lawson and her husband Reginald, and Vicki June Chaffee; grandchildren, Elizabeth Alexander, Rebecca Wright and her husband Randy, Sarah Packard, Jeffrey Kirk, and Adam Frost and his wife Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Myrtle was predeceased by her husband; son, Thomas Michael Packard; son-in-law, Dale Chaffee; and siblings, Minerva Mildred Bruso, Ethel Edith Ives, Ellen Angela Bruso, Orville Edward, Orey Hector, Owen Sylvester, and Otis Orlando.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in Independence Cemetery in Saranac.
