Nicole "Nikki" Gilbert, 45, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Despite the difficult challenges in her life and having pretty debilitating medical conditions, Nikki had a drive to survive and succeed her life-long goals with her life-long partner of 24 years, Karisma Garcia and her companion "her baby" Zoey. Nikki was a caring, compassionate, selfless, honest, friendly, funny, outgoing, and an extremely dedicated partner, family member and friend. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh at and with others. If you were Nikki's friend, you were considered to be family in her heart. Nikki enjoyed and loved fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, riding her electric bike, and especially taking long rides in her truck with her partner and her dog while listening and singing to her favorite songs. She loved spending time with the people she considered family and all her friends. Nikki is survived by her life-long partner, Karisma and her dog Zoey as well as many extended family, close friends and many nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters. Nikki was predeceased by who she considered to be her mom, Anna Garcia, and the fur babies she deeply loved.

Calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 5:00pm on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
