Norman L. Monette Jr. 97, of Set Point and formerly of Champlain, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh on December 26, 1928 the son of Norman Sr. and Bernadette (Corbiere) Monette.

Norman served in the US Air Force as an Airman 1st class during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953.

He married Mildred White on July 27, 1961 in St. Joseph’s Church in Coopersville.

Norman retired as a buyer for Harris Graphics, and kept himself busy with his love of gardening and being on Lake Champlain, fishing, boating and even waterskiing up into his 80’s.

Norman was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Champlain and also the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Monette; his son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Cynthia Monette; grandchildren Jeremy Monette, Jennifer Monette; sister Beatrice Dragoon; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his niece Nancy for all her care and support.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11:45am in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Coopersville.
