Obituary

Pamela Jean Ryan (nee Leopard), a devoted mother, daughter, and sister whose life was defined by strength, service, and unwavering love, passed away on 14-May-2026 at the age of 60.

Born with a competitive spirit and a generous heart, she first made her mark on the volleyball court, excelling as a standout high-school athlete. Her drive, discipline, and team-first mindset shaped the rest of her life, guiding her into a career dedicated to caring for others.

After high school, she became an athletic trainer, supporting athletes with the same determination she once brought to the court. Her passion for health and healing eventually led her into the field of cardiac rehabilitation at CVPH Medical Center, where she found her true calling. She was fiercely protective of her patients—advocating for their wellbeing, celebrating their progress, and offering strength on their hardest days. To many, she was more than a healthcare professional; she was a lifeline, a coach, and a source of comfort.

That same fierce devotion extended to her family. She was a loving mother whose pride in her children was unmatched, a loyal daughter who never hesitated to show up when needed, and a sister whose support was steady and unconditional. Her family was her anchor, and she guarded their happiness and safety with the same passion she brought to every part of her life.

She will be remembered for her compassion, her grit, her humor, and the way she made everyone around her feel protected and valued. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—on the court, in the clinic, and at home.

She is survived by her son Mitchell Ryan, her mother Dora Leopard, her father BillyJoe Leopard and his partner Pearl Mabry. Her brother, Mark Leopard and his wife Dawn, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, who will forever carry her love and strength in their hearts. She is predeceased by her infant brother, Michael.
