ELLENBURG CENTER – Patricia Orem, 80, of Glen Way, Ellenburg Center, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born on August 26, 1943 in Plattsburgh the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Sherman) Milliette.

Pat worked many different jobs in her life time, but the one she was most proud of was raising her son and helping to be there for her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was seeing her great-grandchildren. Later in life when she moved into senior housing, she was always willing to help others with anything that needed to be done. Pat enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook she could make something out of nothing and it would be delicious. When she wasn't cooking, she liked to dine out, Chinese being her favorite. Pat loved shopping, yard sales and flea markets with her grandchildren, and her friend and caregiver Sally. Pat cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as often as she possibly could. She was an avid birdwatcher with a special joy for cardinals and hummingbirds. Pat loved animals, especially cats and always wanting the runt of the litter.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, husbands, and a sister Nancy.

Survivors include her son Charles "Chip" Barnaby and his companion Sally Lamica; grandchildren Heather and Brandon; great-grandchildren Cailynn, Noah, Alana, Wyatt; and sister Carol Milliette Gillis.

Calling hours will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm, with a service to follow at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

The family was so grateful for all the love, support and care that Sally provided for Pat over the past 5 years and for that we are so thankful.
