PLATTSBURGH - Patti W. Dodson, 74, of Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing home, passed away on November 2, 2020. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on October 14, 1946, the daughter of Helene and Charles Wrisley of Dannemora, NY. She grew up in Dannemora, NY where she graduated from Dannemora High School. She worked as an attendant at the Physicians Hospital for several years before it merged with Champlain Valley Hospital. She then worked for SUNY Plattsburgh for 30 plus years in the Bursars office until her retirement in 2000.

During this time she met the love of her life, Gary W. Dodson who was employed as a civilian contractor on the simulators at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. They were married at the United Methodist Church in Dannemora, NY.

She enjoyed crocheting, trying out new recipes with her family, traveling as much as possible and being with her family.

Patti was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 20 years, Gary Dodson.

She is survived by three bothers and a sister, Gary (Judy) Wrisley of Cadyville, NY, Bill (Eileen) Wrisley of Plattsburgh, NY, Ron (Rena) Wrisley of Morrisonville, NY and Sue (Bob) Kirkpatrick of Plattsburgh, NY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be private for the convenience of the family.
