PLATTSBURGH— Penny Faye Venne, 52, of the Burke Rd., passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 5, 1967, the daughter of Albert and Eleanor (Garrow) Trombley.

Penny graduated from Plattsburgh High School and Clinton Community College.

She married Scott Venne in Plattsburgh on September 6, 1986. Penny was a Senior Research Scientist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for many years and belonged to many professional organizations through Pfizer. She was published in academic journals and took great pride in her work. Penny loved animals, going to the movies, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her children, Joshua Venne and husband Youngjin Ki of Madison, WI, Heather Venne and companion, Matthew Checchia of Encinitas, CA; sisters, Brenda and Nick Hor of Plattsburgh, Tina Trombley and companion Mike of Plattsburgh, Starr Maliniak-Lemay and husband Curtis Lemay of Peru; mother-in-law, Lucy Smart of Morrisonville; several nieces and nephews.

Penny was predeceased by her husband, Scott, Parents, Albert and Eleanor and brother Albert Jr.

A private service for family and close friends will be held.

Donations may be made to the North Country Cancer Fund or the American Cancer Society in memory of Penny.
