CHAMPLAIN – Peter Gallagher, 61, of Route 9, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2019.

He was born in Boston, MA on September 22, 1957, the son of Robert Gallagher and the former Joanne Kittell.

Pete was currently working as the chef at Pine Harbor Assisted Living in Plattsburgh and loved his loving and caring Pine Harbor family. Pete was also a member of Rotary and will be deeply missed by his Rotary family as well.

Above all else was his love for his family, his little dog Riley, and especially his granddaughters to whom he was affectingly known as "Papa Pete".

Survivors include his loving wife, Julie Gallagher; his father, Robert (Ruth) Gallagher and mother, Joanne Corey; stepchildren, Lindsey and RJ Gilman and Collin and Natasha Nolan; granddaughters, Lucy Gilman and Milo Gilman; brothers, Roger and Martha Gallagher and Chris and Patti Gallagher; and sister Lynn Gallagher. Pete also leaves behind 4 stepsisters, Anne Corey Atkins, Mary Corey Bourne, Peggy Corey Clapp, and Sharon Corey Sleicher and their families along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved stepfather, Dave Corey.

At Pete's request, there will be no public services. Pete would rather you cook a delicious meal, share memories, and make a "toast" to his memory.
