PLATTSBURGH – Peter S. Ladue, 71, of Cooper Drive, passed away on March 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Plattsburgh on December 24, 1949 the son of Dr. William and Emily (Watson) Ladue.

Peter graduated from Plattsburgh High School and attended Boston University and Clinton Community College.

He was a member of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) and the Antique and Classic Boat Society.

Peter was employed for several years at Gallagher's Towing of Plattsburgh.

He enjoyed anything involving a lake or boat. Peter loved being amongst nature and family, climbing mountains, skiing, bonfires and searching for round rocks. He rarely found a tree he didn't think needed pruning. What he lacked in cooking skills he made up for in his knowledge of the Adirondacks. His greatest project was his home on Lake Champlain.

Survivors include his daughter, AliceElizabeth Watson Ladue of Plattsburgh; brother, Stephen Ladue of Plattsburgh; sister, Alice Tallon of Beekmantown; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Kyburz-Ladue of Charlotte, VT; former wife, Julie Quinn Ladue of Plattsburgh; three nieces and two nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Winslow Ladue and a nephew, Caleb Ladue.

Honoring Peter's wishes, there will be no public services.
