PLATTSBURGH – Peter J. Zmyewski, Sr., 85, of Tom Miller Road, passed away on February 29, 2024 at CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Schenectady on June 30, 1938 the son of Julius and Wanda (Hodor) Zmyewski.

Peter graduated from Draper High School, and served in the United States Airforce from 1955 to 1962.

Peter married Sandra Beaubriand on September 28, 1996 in Plattsburgh.

He retired as zone manager from National Cash Register in Albany after 34 years.

Peter was a member of the Elks Club in Rotterdam, NY and the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun.

He enjoyed Polish dancing, skeet and trap shooting, fishing, boating and motorcycling.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; children, Christine (Steve) Orbe, Clyde (Janie) Rabideau, Mitch (Peggy) Rabideau, Guy (Chimane) Rabideau Jay (Shelly Mos) Rabideau, and Michelle Rabideau; sister, Patricia Redmond; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents;  son, Peter J. Zmyewski, Jr.;  and sister, Phyllis Kaiser.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.

Burial will take place at a later date in Saratoga National Cemetery.
