PLATTSBURGH – Phyllis Ann Nadeau went to her LORD March 3, 2023.
Arthur and Mary (Newton) Nadeau welcomed Phyllis March 5,1943 in Ticonderoga NY. Other family members include Alice Nadeau, Marie (Harvey) Goodrich, Regina (Floyd) Tucker, Arthur (Flora) Nadeau, Steven (Bethany) Nadeau, Charles (Debbie) Nadeau.
Phyllis was graduate of the Ticonderoga School System and went on to earn an A.A.S. Degree from Clinton Community College and a B.S. of Human Services Degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.
She worked as a secretary in several businesses and services in Ticonderoga and Plattsburgh and was also a diligent advocate for persons with disabilities. Additionally, Phyllis loved to make people happy and smile even, even going to 'clown school' to work with hospice as a volunteer.
Phyllis enjoyed many outside interests and was a member of many over the years. Among them included Secular Order of Franciscans, St. Peters Rosary Altar Society and Adult Choir, an advocate for persons with disabilities, St. John's Adult Choir, REBOS Inc. Program, Daughters of the America's, the12 Step Recovery Program, Champlain Birthright, and Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer.
Supercalifragilisticexpidocious explains the many people who were touched by Phyllis' warm and caring nature and were, in turn, wonderfully supportive as she entered her final days. The family would like to thank the many people in the community who knew and enjoyed Phyllis in many different ways, including Patti, Sarah, Dave, Sally, Nursing home staff, CVPH staff, Ombudsman staff and her co-prayer partners throughout the region.
Phyllis would be pleased if any donations made in her memory go to Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH or St. Peter's Youth Education Program.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9 th from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis will follow at 2:00 p.m. in St. Peters Church, 114 Cornelia Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
