Queenie Lavarnway, 76, of Cadyville, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at home. She was born on August 4, 1946 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Raymond and Valeria (McKee) Provost.

Queenie married Claude Lavarnway at West Chazy Church and they shared 56 wonderful years together before his passing on March 5, 2022. She worked as a Bus driver for Beekmantown School District. Queenie enjoyed spending winters in Florida and spending time with her family and loved ones.

She is survived by her son, Dale Lavarnway (Paula Metivier) of Cadyville; her three daughters, Cindy (Roger) Barber of Standish, Christie (Roger) Hewson of South Burlington, VT, and Lisa Lavarnway of Springboro, OH; seven grandchildren, Anthony Barber, Miranda Wick, Denver Hewson, Samuel Boonchaliew, Nicholas Boonchaliew, Lucas Boonchaliew, Dale Lavarnway Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Raymond Provost, Will (Carol) Provost and Matt (Cindy) Provost.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and a brother, Lloyd Provost.

A graveside service and burial will take place on Wednesday, December 7 at 11:00am at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.
