Obituary

PLATTSBURGH --Randy Lee Hart, 55, passed away on Memorial Day, Monday 05/30/2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 2,1967 in Plattsburgh. He was the son of Cecile May (Barcomb) Hart and Ralph Richard Hart.  As a military son, he grew up living in Scotland, Washington DC, Hawaii, Alaska, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia.

Randy started dating Monique Lee Durocher Memorial Day weekend 1990 and never looked back. They were married Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 1991.

Randy had many jobs throughout his amazing life.  His attention span was short and jobs bored him easily. He was a Renaissance man, a "Randy of all trades". His ability to adapt and overcome was unprecedented.  His experiences in the Navy created the trauma that would mentally and physically define him. During his time at PSUC on the SA Tech Crew, he perfected his light and sound technical skills that brought him to work shows in Madison Square Garden, the Boston Ballet, and many smaller venues.  He was a salesman, a vacuum cleaner repairman, cellular phone technician, Cable installer, Audio Video Technician, Satellite Truck Engineer for WPTZ, Electrician for a Bit Coin Mining Data Center, and Home & Business sound, TV, computer, camera monitor systems designer and installer to name a few. He would say "The electronics would talk with him and tell him what they needed".  He was an intelligence gather and strategical savant. A game of pool or RISK only lasted as long as he wanted it to.

Randy loved games; pool, RISK, Chess, Soldier of Fortune online with his CKY clan, recently Call of Duty with the younger generation of friends. Nature was his escape. Skateboarding, surfing, skydiving, bicycle racing, hiking, kayaking, camping, shooting, Paint ball, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and convertible rides were activities he enjoyed. Nothing was better than a backyard fire or star gazing all night in a hammock no matter what time of year.  He was involved with his children's lives, he raised them as a stay-at-home dad.  He was a team builder. Ivy, Niko and Gillian were taught to love and support each other always even when they didn't get along.  He inspired and coached soccer to his children and their friends.  He got to know his children's friends so he could enjoy the performances of all the children in concerts, plays, soccer and basketball games. He was so loving with his animals and plants, too. People would comment that they wanted his well-behaved ferrets (Puck, Moth, Cobweb, Dustball, Lewis and Clark), dogs (Applejack, Billy, Buddy and Buster) and Huge Fish (Swimmy and Al). His green thumb was evident all through the house by sight and smell. He was a risk taker because the rewards were worth it and he rarely failed at anything. He made everything look easy, mostly because he planned for any and everything unexpected to happen.  Randy lived in pain every day for almost 30years but it didn't stop him from having a wonderful life. The Lord blessed him.

Survivors include, his mother, Cecile Hart; his wife, Monique Durocher-Hart; his children, Gillian Karma Hart, Nikolas Xavier Hart, Ivy Rose (Hart) Monette and his son-in-law, Austin Kelly Monette.

He was predeceased by his infant siblings Cheryl May Filby and Steven Warren Filby.
