Rebecca Anne
Jabaut
February 15, 1966 – September 19, 2024
PLATTSBURGH--- Rebecca Anne (Gosselin) Jabaut, "Becky", 58, of Plattsburgh, NY, went to be with our Lord on September 19. Becky's love for her children and grandchildren was immense and she was so incredibly proud of them. Becky was a devout Christian who found peace and strength in her church family and reading the Bible. Becky enjoyed her Bible Study, teaching Sunday school, and helping with Vacation Bible School. In her spare time, she loved gardening, canning, drawing, painting, sewing, and crocheting. She was a handywoman extraordinaire who could wield a floor sander, lay down tile, paper a wall or refinish the furniture. There was no job too big or too small. She had the ability to make any home she inhabited warm, and inviting. Becky graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1984 and went on to graduate summa cum laude from SUNY Plattsburgh, obtaining her Master's Degree in Education. She was predeceased by her mother, Annette (Ouellette) Gosselin.
Becky is survived by her children, Hannah (Jansen) Beckstead; Emma Jabaut (fiancé, Ryan Barcomb); and Jacob Jabaut (fiancé, Desiree Dashnaw); her sisters, Michele Gosselin and Shanna (Timothy) Betlewicz; nieces, Alexandra (Jason) Hamilton, Allie Betlewicz, and Lauren Batista; nephew, Tristan Jobin; two granddaughters, Adley Beckstead and Chloe Barcomb; and former husband, Matthew Jabaut; as well as two great nieces Piper and Aurora and a great nephew Logan.
Visitation will take place at R. W. Walker Funeral Home on Friday, September 27th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm to be followed by services at 1:30 pm at the North Country Alliance Church in Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to North Country Alliance (children's' programs)
