MORRISONVILLE – Regina E. (Nina) Coryea, 78, of Rand Hill Road, passed away on January 5, 2024.

She was born in Beekmantown on January 25, 1945 the daughter of Henry J. and Florence L. (Rivers) Sears.

Regina married Walter B. Coryea on June 22, 1963 at St. Alexander's Church.

She retired from Plattsburgh AFB in 1995 after 30 ½ years.

Nina was a member of Senior Citizens Council of Plattsburgh, St. Alexander's and St. Joseph's Choirs and the Busy Bee Senior Group in Beekmantown. She also enjoyed cross stitch, reading and baking.

Survivors include her husband, Walter B. Coryea; daughters, Jodi Coryea and Jill and (Alvin) McLean; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Cordes; grandchildren, Austin (Lasheena) and Benn LaPierre, Lauren, Brandon (Justina), Jared and James Coryea, Cassondra (Alex) Ellsworth, and Autumn and Adrian McLean; three great-grandchildren, Lola, Madison, and Marley LaPierre; and an army of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Greg Coryea; daughter-in-law, Donna Coryea; siblings, Frances Corron, Fred Sears, Laah Sorrell, Liz Dupell, Willie Sears, Amy Catellier, Chic Renadette, Marie Gordon, John Sears, Tom Sears, and infant brother, Zephyr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Donations in her memory may be made to the CVPH Palliative Care Group or Third Age Adult Day Center at SUNY Plattsburgh.
